Employment Standards in Alberta
Participants will learn the basic employment standards and rights and responsibilities of employers and employees including:
· Recent changes to employment standards
· Payment of earnings
· Allowable deductions from wages
· Hours of work and overtime rules
· Statutory holidays and annual vacation pay
· Other types of leave from work (including pregnancy and parental leave)
· Termination of employment
· Additional information and resources
Participants will also mirror the presenter while they explore and navigate resources found on the website.
