Membership & Marketing Coordinator

Position Title: Membership & Marketing Coordinator
Reports To: Executive Director
Employment Type: Part-time (25 hours/week)
Wage: $20–$23/hour, dependent on experience and education


Position Overview:
The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Membership & Marketing Coordinator. This role focuses on enhancing member engagement, developing marketing initiatives, and launching and managing the Chamber Perks app. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, community engagement experience, and a strong understanding of business development principles.

Key Responsibilities:
Member Relations & Engagement:

Build and maintain positive relationships with Chamber members to enhance membership experience.
Develop strategies to increase membership retention and recruitment, ensuring ongoing growth.
Assist with the Future Business Builders Scholarship Program to further engage members and the community.

Marketing & Communications:
Develop and execute marketing campaigns, including social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
Manage the Chamber’s digital presence across social media platforms, ensuring a consistent brand voice.
Collaborate on event promotions to increase member participation and visibility of Chamber initiatives.
Review chamber led marketing materials to enhance member benefit and increase non-dues revenue. 
Event planning and assistance under the direction of the Executive Director.

Chamber Perks App:
Lead the launch, promotion, and ongoing management of the Chamber Perks app.
Engage with members to encourage app adoption and active participation.
Monitor app usage and gather feedback to continually enhance the app experience.

Community Engagement:
Foster partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to promote Chamber initiatives as directed by the Executive Director. 
Represent the Chamber at community events to increase visibility and build relationships, when required.
Strives to continually develop a better public understanding of the Chamber and its purpose and functions

Administrative:
Handle day-to-day administrative duties including filing, data entry, document prep, and record keeping
Maintain member databases, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
Respond to phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries with professionalism and care
Assist with invoicing, member renewals, and coordination of member benefit communications
Help the Executive Director with scheduling, organizing meetings, and tracking deadlines
Contribute to the preparation of reports, grant applications, and meeting packages
Ensure promotional materials, signage, and office supplies are well-stocked and organized

Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
2 years of related experience
Demonstrated experience in community engagement, marketing, or business development.
Strong business acumen and ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Proficiency with social media platforms, digital marketing tools, and ability to learn new software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with app management and digital engagement tools.
Familiarity with the Bonnyville area and its business landscape.
Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
