Administrative Assistant

Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports To: Executive Director
Employment Type: 1-Year Contract (25–30 hours/week, with the possibility of extension)

Position Overview:

The Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce is looking for a reliable and organized
Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position plays a key role in supporting our daily
operations, assisting with member communications, helping coordinate events, and maintaining
accurate records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable with office technology, and
enjoys working in a community-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support

  • Answer phone calls, emails, and greet visitors in a friendly, professional manner
  • Maintain digital and paper filing systems
  • Schedule meetings and assist with calendar management
  • Support the Executive Director with day-to-day tasks and special projects
Member & Office Support
  • Assist with member communications, including email updates and member inquiries
  • Help maintain accurate member records and databases
  • Provide administrative support for membership renewals and onboarding
Event & Marketing Assistance
  • Help coordinate Chamber events (registrations, set-up, materials)
  • Assist with preparing promotional content for social media and newsletters
  • Update the Chamber website and Chamber Perks app listings when needed
Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of administrative or office experience is an asset
  •  Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional attitude
  • Experience with Canva, Google Drive, or database software is a plus
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends for events.
